The ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 5 women's soccer teams have been announced and Macalester defender and team captain
Kelsey Speer (Sr., Madison, Wis. / West) has received third-team honors, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Top student-athletes from non-Division I programs in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ontario and Manitoba are eligible for inclusion on the District 5 team. Selection to this team is based on a combination of athletic and academic achievement. A total of 119 college division student-athletes were nominated from District 5 institutions.
