Complete Central Region Championship results
Macalester ran in the 25-team NCAA Division III Central Region championships at Grinnell, Ia., and placed 15th.
Wade Ekstrom (Sr., La Crescent, Minn.) qualified for next weekend's NCAA championships in Cleveland by placing 10th overall out of 173 runner, completing the 8-kilometer course at Oakland Acres Golf Course in 25:20.1. Ten of the top 11 finishers were from the MIAC.
Ekstrom will run Saturday (Nov. 21) at the
national meet, hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College and held at Highland Park Golf Course in Cleveland. [

St. Thomas and Nebraska Wesleyan tied for the team title, just one point ahead of St. Olaf, and MIAC champ Dan Greeno was the first runner across the tape (24:49.0).
Four Scots, besides Ekstrom, finished in the top 100 in this 173-runner field.
Dale Dybvig (Jr., Osceola, Wis.) moved up to the No. 2 spot in the lineup by placing 80th (27:03.4),
Nick Mangigian (Sr., Ann Arbor, Mich. / Greenhill) was 84th (27:05.9) and
Carl Biggers (So., Verona, Wis.) was 95th (27:16.3).
