The Fighting Scots wrapped up their second season under Coach Tony Jennison with a record of two wins and eight losses. “We feel we still have a lot to prove after this season and are already looking forward the 2010 campaign,” said Coach Jennison.  “We were a very young team and it showed at times but we feel the experiences gained this year will only help us in the coming years.”

Macalester and Minnesota-Morris met in a hard-hitting, defensive-minded game at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, and it was the UMM Cougars pulling it out with a 37-yard field goal with 1:04 left in the fourth quarter for a 3-0 victory.  Each team had chances on offense and moved the ball better than the final score would indicate, but struggled in the red zone, and on third- and fourth-down conversions. The Scots gained 295 yards and 18 first downs, while Minnesota-Morris had 262 yards and 16 first downs.
